They also looked at workers at different levels including non-manageria l workers, supervisors, middle managers, and senior managers and directors.The self-employed people popped up in various sectors including finance, insurance and retail and at different levels. They have the freedom to innovate, express their own views, have influence beyond their own role and compete with other companies and people.Feeling more in control and autonomous is the reason many people go into business for themselves, despite the fact that it can be risky and exp ensive. The U.S. Minority Business Development Agency saysit can cost $30,000 to get a business running but that depends on your type of work.However, according to Freshbooks annual self-employment report, 54% of freelancers make more money than those who work full-time for one company, 68% have more work-life balance and 47% have more career certainty. Even though self-employed workers may have to work more, at first at least, they are still happier.They really get to use their own expertise, so dont seem to mind working long hours. They can find meeting high standards really fulfilling, Parr added.As for who was the least happy, the study found that non-managerial company workers were the least satisfied and engaged.

But theyre much more than gas station attendants these soldiers are trained to operate a range of equipment used in the distribution of petroleum. They fuel Army vehicles and aircraft and make sure petroleum is handled safely and according to protocol. This job is categorized as military occupational specialty (MOS) 92F. ansicht soldiers work in all types of weather and a variety of conditions, which may include combat situations. An interest in and affinity for shop mechanics and business math will serve you well if you plan to enlist in this job. You should enjoy physical work because theres a good deal of heavy lifting, and a large portion of the work youll be doing is best described as hands-on. Duties of Army Petroleum Supply Specialists These soldiers issue and dispense bulk fuels stored in distribution facilities to Army units that need them. They stock bulk and packaged petroleum products and handle accounting duties for any inventory received. MOS 92F also is responsible for selecting and submitting petroleum samples for laboratory testing, to ensure quality control criteria are being met. Theyre the ones who make sure units have the fuel they need. Training Information for MOS 92F Petroleum supply specialists take the standard ten weeks of Basic Combat Training (otherwise known as boot camp) and 11 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Lee in Virginia. As with all Army jobs, the training period is divided between on-the-job training and classroom instruction. During your AIT, youll learn to operate airplane refueling systems, how to plan and schedule petroleum transport, and the requisite safety regulations and procedures for handling petroleum and other hazardous materials. One of the first things soldiers in this MOS learn is how to handle petroleum fuel and other products in the e vent of a fire. Youll learn how to operate equipment like pumps, tankers, and pipelines, and become very familiar with how fuel is made, pumped and tested. Youll also learn the proper procedures for getting fuels to the Army vehicles that need it, especially in combat situations. Qualifying for MOS 92F As with any Army job, first, youll take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) tests. Youll need a score of 86 in the clerical (CL) aptitude area and an 85 in the operators and food (OF) segment. Unlike some military jobs, you dont need a Department of Defense security clearance for MOS 92F, but you need prototyp color vision and have to have a valid state drivers license. Similar Civilian Occupations to MOS 92F Although parts of this job wont translate outside of the military, a lot of the skills youll learn will help prepare you for jobs with oil refineries, pipeline companies, and tanker truck and ship lines.
